Obama hits a first ball Six
After becoming the 44th and president and first Afro-American president, the first work done by him is to stop the provision of funds to the Pakistanis till they stop terrorism. Indians were trying so long to stop this and they were not able to do it successfully with the politicians slow approach. Now the Pakistanis doesnt have any other option than stoping terrorism. What a good move it is. He also said that his target will be to make is world a terrorism free one in four years. I am really happy with it and expect more from him.

First Time in a home
To see more pics of the night's program just click HERE

Today is a day which I will remember for a long long time for the experience I had today. My friend took me to "Nalmanam" a Home where little children are taken care after being left out without anyone to take care off. This is the first time I am going to such a place. I really felt so happy being with the children and the kids were so happy to talk to us. I should take my hat off looking at the person who takes care of these children. He has done a real good job so far and I wish him to contine his good work in the days to come.
Initially my friend collected funds from IM and used it to provide some materials to them. We were surprised to see people contributing from round the world. A big thanks to all of them. I wish that I should get enough opportunities to go to such places as much as possible in the future.

Who cares about it?
I have already posted about the corporations offices and their work culture in this post.
The funniest thing happend in the city for the past one week is, the cops are very sincere at the traffic signals which is quite unusual to them. They were very strict on the stop line issue and the signal breaking. All this happened just as a formality to pay tribute to the traffic week. I just ask them will their crown fall down if they do it regularly.
This is heartbreaking, the chaos in the ration shop should be viwed seriously. The employes there don't know how to respect the public(let it even be senior citizens). Even the public was not co-operative as well. The atmosphere there was sick. I don know who is going to find a solution to this. I wish to highlight one point here, the government employees should consider them as human beings and not as god.
Finally the trouble while travelling on the road, due to security problems. I was travelling back home with my friend in my two-wheeler when my friend wanted to stop by an atm and get money for which I stopped, before my friend could come back, I was chased by the cops from the spot which made me wait for my friend at the end of the road which is a kilometer long. My friend walked all the way to find me at the road end. It is a very busy road so turning back and travelling on the opposite(which we do at emergency) is alomost impossible. What I want to know is that, VVVVVVIP's can go where ever they want and the traffic can be regulated(which should be stopped first). When they stop people from even stopping on the road side for their personnel work, it really irritates any common man. It even irritated me, but I could do very little about it in a place where politicians are seen as someone holy.

Its all crazy.....
If I say all this they call me I am philosophical. If truth is seen as philosophy then what life will be seen as?

Unseen Talents

>
I always have this thought running in my mind, why is our government training our rowers, cyclists and hammer throwers by keeping them in air conditioned room and hydraulic training to send them to the Olympics and Asiad. There are so many fishermen who can row better than the rowers and swing the hammer as they use to throw the net which is lot heavier than the hammer. If we can give a kind of a stipend to them and train them surely we can give a great competition in the international sports.

During this semester holidays I was called by my friend to play cricket in the beach and the other in a corporation ground. When I went there I just witnessed something great. The ground and the beach were full youngsters with bat and ball. They just don bother about anything but only about playing cricket. They are not professional, they dont have the proper skill to exhibit but they have the interest to play the game. These people should be viewed seriously by the board of cricket in India and they should be given some opportunity to play professional cricket if they possess talent.

Some one teach me please....

Is only one government rules Tamil Nadu? I went to the Zone 7 corporation office which happens to be the head office for issuing birth/death certificates. I went to the office at 13:15 to apply for the death certificate of my grandfather. I learnt from the health officer that I should approach to the Zone 5 office. When I went there I saw a display board saying that the applications will be recieved only between 10 and 13 hrs. I was really surprised to see that two branches of the same organization have different work time. How is that possible when there is a common head for both the branches? If the timings are as such, then why do they have differences when they have the same work to do? All the government concerns are about to work from 10 to 17 hrs but I cant see it happening. If they are going to work for only three hours then what is the point in giving them the full salary which a person gets for working 7 hours.
I am a citizen of this country but I am not able to understand what is going around me. What a pathetic situation.

Practise makes man perfect
The shop was on the beach sand with a roof. On one extreme of the shop there is the stove to cook the food and on the other extreme of the shop there was a man preparing the parathas with the batter. Whats interesting about these men is that, the person who prepares the batter just throws it to the other extreme where a man catches it and toasts it. It was quite strange and attractive too. If they drop it down then it is a waste surely, but they do it with pin point accuracy. This incident may be small one which stays in my memory but it teaches me that only practice can make a man perfect.

Festival of Exam

Its going to be the month of October which marks the start of the grand festival of Examinations. Its really too hard to be an engineering student facing these exams. It all starts with a quiet Model exam then comes the model lab which is followed by the university lab and last but of never the less least the University theory examinations.
In schools this period will be the working days of the second term between quaterly and halfyearly exams, but for us its just exams for this period. Its too hard on us man. Its only 1-2 year difference between school and college but the type of exams ?
It will be better if the system is changed by awarding the degree for the students on the basis of their thinking capacity and approach towards their branch of study rather believing in the vomit on the answer paper.

A Camp inside the Campus

Once when I went there, I learnt a lot about it. The blood which one donate will be helpful to
save not 1 but 2 lives as it is divided into white or red blood corpuscles and used seperately as per the need of the patient. When we donate it we really don feel the importance of it, but when we see the people struggling to get the blood to save some ones life, Oh Boy!! its pathetic. Most
of the people misunderstand that, if they donate blood they will run short of blood which is
obviously not. Every human being contains around 51/2 to 6 litres of blood out of which only 350ml will be taken. Our body takes only 24 hours to regenerate the donated amount of blood.
The best part of the camp was, there were 4 blood banks present to collect the blood and around423donors took part in the camp. The doctors and the nurses present there were very
kind and taught us a lot about the importance of donating blood and also how to take care of ourself before and after donating.
This camp was scheduled suddenly and hence many of the students were unaware of it, but still so many turned up. This really shows that the future India is really shining. Among the people who turned up Guru and Venkat were noticable. Every 90 days we are allowed to donate blood which will be helpful to someone at the right time. So all we have to do is to have heart to
help others and execute it properly....

A Day Off
from our regular work on a sunday, does it make any sense? Nowadays we can see most of the
houses locked during the working days as every one is engaged with a work. So everyone gets time only on a Sunday to do all their work, but every organization has a day off on sunday. Then how will common man will do his personal work related with these organizations. Even government Departments like Electricity board, Corporation offices, Banks, etc., have their holiday on sunday, then how will we able to meet our needs which is engaged with these departments.
I personally feel that the departments which serve the common needs of the public can have their day off on a weekday so that it will be a great relief for the people to finish their work on the day which they have with them.
I can keep saying this to everyone, but will the men in-charge put this issue under scrutiny..........?

Lingam at Purasai

It really makes this already crowded area even more crowded and the police men at duty really struggle to keep things under control. The queue keeps growing after 5 in the evening and even poonamalle high road is not enough for the people to stand. The parking for the vehicles were arranged near Ewart matric school which made the school children to struggle to get in to the school. I havent seen so much of crowd for this event in purasai ever before(It really made me struggle to get back home from my bus stop in the evening). I really didnt expect so many people to be present on this occassion. It reminds me those pradoshams on saturday where the crowds use to fill in..................

Will they change....?
Stupidity is really at its best in my hometown. You may surely ask me this question, What is new about this city as it always has something with it to talk about. The reason for posting this topic is that, the condition is changing from
bad to worse......
Ok ok, I will tell you what is the issue, the tremendous performance of our
men in Kakhi especially when the (so called) VIP's travel somewhere. I really
don know with what kind of urgency they travel, but being the citizen of this country we have to wait till these people pass by. Is this a punishment for us
for electing them? I really don't understand the concept of leading the people without living the life of a normal citizen. How will they know about the
difficulties faced by the commuters and the motorists everyday by travelling in
an airconditioned car with regulated traffic. My mom use to say that
M.G.R(then chief minister) use to wait for the signal even when he was the CM of TN. Why don't the present day VIP's follow it.
Where ever we go, we can hear special entry, special quota, special ticket,
special food. Whatmade them so special, their education or their open service to
people? They use to sit in airconditioned room and eat high quality food and
they will talk about the poverty and unemploynment. Can anyone show wards of
VIP's searching for jobs. Our then president ("The greatest scientist of our country") stayed alone in his house and he also locked all the kitchens except one(where the food is cooked for him and all the employees there). He showed that much equality even when he was the first citizen of our country. He came out of the president's house with a single suitcase... Isn't he great. Why cant others follow him. I really don't know why people feel so difficult to live a
normal citizen's life when they come to a post. Does the post give them two
horns or what? But one thing is sure, we can talk many topics relating to it or
even movies can be directed as Director Shankar always do, but nothing could
be changed as we wish. We should take it as our fate to see all this and respect
these people who really don deserve what they get............

His Highness.......

" His Highness Thomas Alva Edison".
Today I like to say a few words about this great man as this was the day on 1847 the earth recieved this great man. I don think that there will be a literate who does not know who Edison is. It all started with the fear of darkness which Thomas wanted to avoid, he started thinking about it and found an answer after tireless work and 625 attempts. Edison is considered one of the most prolific inventors in history, holding 1,093 U.S. patents in his name, as well as many patents in the United Kingdom, France and Germany.
The greatest day was on october 22, 1879 when he invented the electric bulb. He obtained the patent for it from the US government. He invented many devices in his life time which was very much useful. His hearing capacity was not the best as he did not treat his infected ears......
Electric current was invented way back in 600 B.C but it was Edison who brought it to the standard where we use it in the indoor application. Hence he is the reason for the creation of the field of Engineering.......

From all the Engineering Students, I thank him on his birthday for his wonderful creation which made life so easy in this world..........

Percentage Needs to be Re-calculated

Percentage Needs to be Re-calculated... Why do I say this..? I have my reasons below.
In olden days, men use to enjoy all the facilities. Women were the sufferers in the hands of men as per the society's law. The government understood this stupid behaviour and started giving women equal rights. The effect of this law started kicking men to search a place for survival. What the government thought is that, minimum of 33% should be given to women in all the departments. But what they missed out is that they did not mention anything such for the men, which seems to be essential for the survival of men.
People say that men can survive anywhere at anytime as he is meant to face problems. If it is said like that then why these people say that women are given equal importance. If men are given any sort of importance then we can compare and say whether equal improtance to women is given or not, but when no importance is given to men and everything is given to women, how will it be equal.
If you don't agree with what i say, let me give you some examples.
1) Let us take the mode of transport first, there is separate seat for women where no men can sit, but there is no such place for men.
2) Let us consider the colleges, I don want to say anything about it and i really welcome comments with examples for those who think against me(especially in college). If the ratio between men and women are about 100:1 still the resource is equally shared, I really don know how is it possible.
3) Last but not least, even in the News headlines, if there is any bomb blast or accident, they will announce the number of deaths with the number of women in it. I want ask them why are they not saying about the number of men who die. Is any way men is inferior to women or does it mean that the life of a man is not valuable when compared to women.

My dear male folks, please see that we are not pushed to a situation where we will be asked to fight for survival against these women. I do take apology to all the women who feel bad after reading this post.
I am no way against giving equal importance to women, but what i mean is that even men should be viewed. My main issue is to removal of women quota as all the human beings are equal for any kind of obligation..
Cheers!!!

Future seems to be dark!!
In our country the majority of the people belong to the students community. There is a famous quote stating that, todays children will be tomorrows citizen. But what is happening to the students, is there anyone to bother about them. Thats why i say that the Future seems to be dark. People wish that India should become a developed nation. We all know that it lies only on the hands of the students to lift our standards or to put it down. But the society expects a lot from the youngsters and don give them what is necessary to them.
In my point of view, the most difficult of all times for a student is to attend a class on saturday when all the folks around their house enjoy the weekend. Most of the Engineering colleges and the schools work for 8 hours a day and five days a week. The student who attends all the classes without fail will surely be on his knees by friday, at this juncture if you ask him to work for one more day, it makes no sense at all. Yes i agree that hard work should be put up by the students but continous work without rest
makes them good for nothing.
There is a famous saying which states"Something is better than nothing", by following this the management makes people work on saturday thinking that they will do nothing at home. But what i mean to say is that"Nothing is better than Non-Sense". The student could stay at home rather being physically present in the class due to compulsion. Will it do any good to him or his health..? The managements can think about the mindset of students and act accordingly..
Another difficult situation is the holidays with the assignment. I really don understand the concept of giving assignment during holidays and that too during festivals. How these staff memebers expect the students to be with their books when they themselves want to enjoy thier holidays, after all everyone is a human being. Very easily they will say that we had holidays. Does it mean that every student should sacrifice all what he has in order to learn.
The most pathetic issue is the working saturday as a compensation for a holiday. Fine they are doing this in order to maintain the number of working days. But how is that possible for them to have a compensation for Independence day, don they feel ashamed to do that. Is this the tribute which we show to our motherland...
Engineering students are supposed to be professionals, do they get treated as a professional...?
They are been treated as worse as a donkey which carries load for its master. They are trying to force certain inhuman activities in the name of discipline.
But if this state continues then the students of future will surely become lunatic before they get their degree........
I wish that govt. should take steps in saving the students from the hands of institutions in order to save the country's future.
