Obama hits a first ball Six

American President Obama hits a first ball six as far as Indians are concerned.
After becoming the 44th and president and first Afro-American president, the first work done by him is to stop the provision of funds to the Pakistanis till they stop terrorism. Indians were trying so long to stop this and they were not able to do it successfully with the politicians slow approach. Now the Pakistanis doesnt have any other option than stoping terrorism. What a good move it is. He also said that his target will be to make is world a terrorism free one in four years. I am really happy with it and expect more from him.

Everlasting Potential

"The time is over"
"The wall is weakened"
"Time to take rest"
"Time for the youngsters"

These were the quotes targeted the greatest ever batsman of India. Today he showed them all what he is capable of. His century under pressure in seaming conditions has shut the mouth of all the criticers who spoke about this great man. May be people get too much involved in the T20 format, but no one can compete with the wall except Kallis when it comes to professionalism.

Whatever it is I am very happy that my favourite cricketer excelled today. I wish him to succeed in all this upcoming innings and stay as the top performer till he ritires from the game. Dravid you always rock. People may support you or not, I am always there to back you up.

Cheers!!!!!

Rose among the thorns

Its always nice to see some characterized sportsmen.  Today I was able to find another gem who looks like a rose among the thorns. Everyone know what happened in Sydney last december at the Sydney Cricket Ground. World cup winning captain was able to lie for a decision on a catch so as his team.  Today one of the member of the Australian side was good enough to inform the umpire that the catch was not taken cleanly rather appealing with other of his team mates.  It may be because that he filled Gilly's boots or it may be  his nature. Any way its good to see some cricketers helping the umpire to make a decision and get things going smoothly.  Also I don understand why the umpire didn't like when Gambhir told the umpire that he nicked the ball during an LBW appeal.  Who ever does it, its for the welfare of the game and the umpires should encourage the players to finish the game on a higher spirit.

A big Welcome to Brad Haddin to the list of Characterised players such as, Gilchrist, Dravid, Sachin, Gillespie, Gavaskar, Yuvraj, Sangakarra etc.

Cheers!!!!!

Yet another Gem

I am very much impressed with the exhibition of character by this lawyer from Sri Lanka.  He kept filling Gilly's boots in every department.  He first proved his class behind the stumps and then in his batting and now its the time for the big one.  In my first post i felt a lot that the end of Gilly might see the end of characterized sportsmanship , but IPL showed us there is Sangakkara to fill the huge boots of Gilly.

How often we can see batsman walking, but Gilly did it and now its the turn of this Srilankan lawyer who became a wicket-keeper later on to closely follow the foot steps of the man who deserved to be called as the cricketer of his period.  I really wish every cricketer to follow this attitude and justify the name Gentleman's game given for the game of cricket.

Condemn the Criticizers

I am a kind of a person who enjoy watching all the games, so obviously I love watching cricket. At present India is playing against the Proteas after a short Australian tour. What I have been witnessing over the last year and a half is that people never hesitate to criticize our former Indian skipper Rahul Sarad Dravid. I really don understand why people come so hard at him. When Team India is in a comfortable winning position then there will surely be a buzz on Dravid's Strike rate. If it is the case where our team is in a position to kill the overs(bat out the time), we can see the experts along with banners in the crowd saying the wall should prevent us from defeat. Everyone knows that his style of batting is the same and he is a key player in the team in all the situations, remember he is the one who involved in a 326 run chase against the Carribeans under lights in a ODI.

How many cricketers has such a strong basics which this gentleman posses. If Indians take on the Aussies then we are sure of a drama on and off the field, can anyone point out such a situation which involved Dravid. Even the Little Master was accused of Match Fixing against Sri Lanka, but no one could get near this great man from Bangalore. Test Match is always played with a greater spirit and respect to the bowlers, but what is happening right now is that, people started to compare Test cricket with ODI and T20, but what people forget here is that the red leather swings for a longer period when compared with the white ball.

Everyone started to criticize this man and I was really shocked to see the statement which said "Did Dravid's Ton Hurt India", is it not shameful to talk like this. Modern cricket has the craze on people like, Sehwag, Yuvraj,Dhoni etc, but how many can put their money on these sort of players when it comes to reliability. I have seen so many matches where everyone will fail to score and Dravid alone will stand till the end as how Brian Lara used to do for the West Indies.

Finally I wanna say that, if you cant salute this great batsmen, better shut up rather putting him under scrutiny as he is the only star cricketer of India full of professionalism and without any controversy............

Oh Boy Is He Great..............?

Cricket as we know is a Gentlemen's game, but we seldom see cricketers who behave like that.  One such instant is the Sydney Test.  But there was a man who created doubts in the minds of many people and he made them think of an  imaginary situation to see whether he might commit a mistake. This great personality is
none other than the man who created a new dimension to  the art of Wicket Keeping
"ADAM GILCHRIST".  It is impossible to fill his boots after this tri-series...
His announcement of retirement was a great shock to the cricketing world, but this shows the standards which he sets for himself. One drop chance makes him to think about retirement. I feel that, not
only cricketers but every human being should learn a lot from him......

When he made his debut for Australia people thought that he wont be able to perform like Ian Healy, But he proved all wrong with his performance behind and also in front of the stumps..
He created a new dimension(Wicket Keeper/Batsman) in cricket. He always keeps the morale of the team high. The way he moves between overs gives enough time to the bowlers to think about the plan between delivaries. You cannot see a better player in appreciating the opponents on their performances, Gilly really stands tall with this quality...

Walker...

He had a great of quality of walking if he believes that he was undone by the bowlers. This made the job of the umpires very easy.  But now with the departure of Gilly and the beginning of the modern cricketers lying nature to win matches may lead to a position where the spirit of the game will be lost...

Now it is time for us to wait for a player who can fill the boots of Gilly behind stumps and the one in his honesty. For me the greatest records which he set was, the keeper with the maximum number of dismissals in test and ODI and also he is the only man in the history of game to have 100 test sixes.........

For me, he should have played for some more years only for two reasons. One is that he is the best entertainer globally, we indians have a craze on Sachin, but that is not the case around the world for him, but Gilly is liked by all kinds of people in any corner of the world for his well mannered behavior and debastating batting. Secondly his pink gloves, every victim of his will make the breast cancer research insitiute richer by 144,000$, if he had played for some more years, surely he would have made the institue more richer as it is his nature to get scalps...

But now its time for us to do honours for this great keeper who served Australian cricket and provided everyone of us the greatest entertainment of our time... Now looking forward to him in action in IPL..  Gilly! You always rock...............

Cheers!!!!!!
