Percentage Needs to be Re-calculated

Percentage Needs to be Re-calculated... Why do I say this..? I have my reasons below.

In olden days, men use to enjoy all the facilities.  Women were the sufferers in the hands of men as per the society's law.  The government understood this stupid behaviour and started giving women equal rights.  The effect of this law started kicking men to search a place for survival.  What the government thought is that, minimum of 33% should be given to women in all the departments. But what they missed out is that they did not mention anything such for the men, which seems to be essential for the survival of men.

People say that men can survive anywhere at  anytime as he is meant to face problems.  If it is said like that then why these people say that women are given equal importance.  If men are given any sort of importance then we can compare and say whether equal improtance to women is given or not,  but when no importance is given to men and everything is given to women, how will it be equal.

If you don't agree with what i say, let me give you some examples.

1) Let us take the mode of transport first, there is separate seat for women where no men can sit, but there is no such place for men.

2) Let us consider the colleges, I don want to say anything about it and i really welcome comments with examples for those who think against me(especially in college).  If the ratio between men and women are about 100:1 still the resource is equally shared, I really don know how is it possible.

3) Last but not least, even in the News headlines,  if there is any bomb blast or accident, they will announce the number of deaths with the number of women in it. I want ask them why are they not saying about the number of men who die.  Is any way men is inferior to women or does it mean that the life of a man is not valuable when compared to women.

My dear male folks, please see that we are not pushed to a situation where we will be asked to fight for survival against these women.  I do take apology to all the women who feel bad after reading  this post.

I am no way against giving equal importance to women, but what i mean is that even men should be viewed. My main issue is to removal of women quota as all the human beings are equal for any kind of obligation..

Cheers!!!

You are right machi.. Giving equal rights to women is reasonable, but not at the cost of betraying men of their rights.. In such a case, there is no point in talking of equality to all!!

@ramana: I feel that very soon we people will be raising flags to protest against women.................

Yayathy...then what would u say about when it is reported in the news "out of 13, 3 were women who are in IT and were dancing in an inebriated condition under the influence of alchocol"

The point is that, unfortunately our media along with our politicians is happy with sensationalizing such issues.....this in turn really kills the spirit of our society...

But i once asked this question, which really put even our tamil amma down, when she was trying to make a discussion on men and women and equal rights issue in our class... "Why are we discussing about GIVING equal rights, as though God has written in a bond paper the sole rights of women to someone, in this case to men, along with a declaration that they are free to distribute it whenever and however they want?"

I am not a female chauvanist...only that in our society, whoever has the ability to fight they can come up...life has never been easy to us whether it is a man or woman...of course if u r a woman it is little bit more difficult since one also has to fight to get out of the mould...but in the end if u r best u will survive...

@Ela: I agree with what you say, everyone has to fight for survival, but the problem is that women are given more importance which makes the life of men a bit more difficult...

Ohhh come on.....close ur eyes for few minutes and ask urself whether u can live without them.....heehee...

And in my opinion it is men who had made this situation...so either live with it or undo what has been done!

Yayathy,it's like you are reading my mind.I have always wanted to write on this topic.
My opinion is same as that of yours, even i feel that there is too much talk about women's equality all these year's when the basic fact is that there is no question of inequality. Both men-women are equal,so there is no point in fighting for some sexes equality when you already have it,you just got to use it.

Finally a topic that i'm really interested in.

Question: Is there a need for reservation for women ?

Hell Yes ..

Men are the physically superior race, and as discussed in this post their natural instinct is to get intimate with a woman. This is a very dangerous mix, it is like a powerful individual with a motive ( power being man's physical and societal power, motive being his sexual desires ).

So you really need this, instead of looking at the situation ( ie. the existence of all this reservation ) look at the consequences if there were no such system in place. Your sis and mom would get groped everytime they take public transport.

And about the situation in colleges, you say for unequal demographics ( ratio of men and women ) there is equal distribution of resources.

But then you need to ensure everyone gets a share of the resources right ? And if there was a 100:1 ratio in favor of men like you say, it'll be very difficult for the women to even hang around.

About the news thingy, i have no qualms about that and i don't think you should have a problem with that too.. Cos; this is so childish and crappy ..

Nuff said ..

I'm sure this reply will start off a heated debate, but then i won't be participating in one. Cos' there is no way i can convince someone here, if you really want to know my views ( and get convinced ) come talk to me. I'll be more than happy to explain my POV on this subject.

Signing off . .

BTW good work on the blog, you are so intent on making all socially relevant posts. Good .. But then honest suggestion - don't make it your policy to try and dispel all social myths just for the heck of it .. Not worth it da .. All your posts except your first one have been like that .. Take no offense, but this is just a suggestion ..

First of all Thank you very much for all who spent time to comment my blog....

@ ela: I don say that men should practise living without women, I just ask the society to give enough opportunities to men as they are interested on giving it to women.

@ guru: Hey guru, you speak about the strength and weakness in gender. What i mean is that most of the mistakes done by men are induced by women, But the one who suffers is men. All these happens only because we have a consideration for women. In Modern days we require only knowledge and application than muscular power, so i want a change in the society's approach....

may be.... may not be.....
hey this is similar to an unsolved mistery... men against women and vice versa....but everyone should understand that one is for the other...
