Whenever India plays Pakistan, the whole nation watches it like a war. It always happens due to the tension at the Indo-Pak border.

The players never take that much tension and they enjoy the game with the pride of playing for their country in their heart. Looking at the way both the teams reached the semi-final there is a lot of difference. Pakistan qualified to the Semis mostly depending on their bowling. India on the other hand needed ammunition in both their departments (batting and bowling). Indian fielding got improved as the tournament progressed to the knockout stage which is a boon to the team.

Indians played THE match of the tournament in the quarters against Australia which needed a gutsy performance and steel nerves from the Indians to seal the match against the team which was the the champions for over a decade.

The politicians seek an opportunity to revive the good relationship between India and Pakistan. At Mohali there are 4000 police men on duty to protect the cricket teams. Mohali has been announced as a No Fly zone till the match and the tickets are sold out as expected. All the hotels are booked for a radius of 25km from the stadium. Both the country's prime ministers are set to watch the match together.

About the match, the pitch is expected to be a belter(Batsmen friendly) which will be a ploy to expose the weakness in the Pak batting line up. The world cup history says that India has won all its games against pakistan in the world cup so far which gives a 100% Win - loss record.

The match is set to begin at 14:30 hrs IST. Tendulkar eyes his 100th international century and India look forward to keep their 100% record against Pakistan in WC intact. To say the least, the team with steel nerves will emerge victorious.

"ALL THE BEST TO BOTH THE TEAMS"

Cheers!!!!!

296

I write this post for a simple reason, I have not posted anything for 296 days and I feel its really a long time. To sum things up I travel a minimum of 100 KM everyday. All these stuff kept me away from my blog before I started missing something which I started so passionately three years ago. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, Rahul Sharad Dravid and Leander Paes. There are so many others born in the same year and achieved in various fields, but the reason which made me scribble about these three giants is there Never Give In attitude. Leander and Sachin are the stalwarts in their respective games. Both have completed two decades of International sports and still doesnt have the mood to retire. They still appear as a 16 year old wanting to play more and more. Sachin has all the records in the book, Leander has the Olympic medal and what can you say about charismatic Dravid.

If you take the whole of the 70's, it has given us best sportsmen of all time in the like of Sehwag, Zaheer, Ganguly, Kumble, Laxman, Mahesh Bhupathi, Dileep Tirkey, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore etc, but 73 in specific has produced world beaters, which made me write this post.
The players born in the 80's should also follow the foot prints of their seniors and take Indian sports to the next level.

Cheers!!!!!

Could you say in which sport the guys mentioned in the second Paragraph represented India.

Is anyone there to succeed him?

Yesterday I lost all my senses looking at a person who is so humble even when the world is ready to worship him, yes I am talking about Sachin Tendulkar. As soon as I say this name, everyone will get the thought that he is the luckiest person and a god gifted batsman, which he is. He is one sportsman who I always admire from my childhood. Yesterday he achieved a feat which no other batsman reached, he became the first man on the planet to score an ODI double hundred which came against one of the best bowling attacks(Proteas) if not the best.

He has completed two decades of international cricket and still growing strong. He is still the same as he was at his teen when he made his debut. He always reminds that his father always checks him that he doesn't take the pride to his head. He follows it till date and dedicates his achievement to his father who is no more. He lost his father in the year 1999 when India was playing in the world cup. He came back to India and completed his ritual rights and went back to score a century in the tournament which dropped most of the jaws in the world. Thats the commitment of this great man.

He always celebrates well after scoring a century early in his career. After his father died his celebrations after scoring hundred has changed. Yesterday when he scored his 93rd international hundred he looked at the sky as he does nowadays. I simply felt like he is talking to his father in the heaven.

We may see many batsman in future and some may even break Sachin's record, but I am sure no one on this earth can be as modest as Tedulkar after achieving so much.

I wish God gives Sachin many more years in his life, also make many of his fans to follow him in life...

Cheers!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I write this post for shimmer who tagged me. I started to post in the year 2007 when my friend introduced this site to me. I use to write alot, but number of people visiting my page will be very little. Nowadays even though I don't write much, the traffic to my page is huge and also the visitors are distributed across the globe. I really can't believe this. Also my fellow bloggers back in 07 became almost inactive and I got new mates. What ever it is, I thank google for giving such a wonderful site which helped me to learn a lot of facts and earn a lot of friends. I thank all my fellow mates for coming into my life through this site.

Cheers!!!!!

Someone care about this....

This is my first post of the year and I have something to debate about. As the year broke, most of the people started reviewing the decade. I went a little beyond and looked at last 15 years. If was in coma during this period then I would have surely asked which planet am I in. I could see that many changes. The first thing I could notice is, my city being more crowded. I agree the development is huge, but that can be seen only in cities and not in the rural areas. Every day there are so many people who move to urban areas in search of their fortune, which can be accepted but the problem is they don't wanna leave the place even after the work is done. If this continues then in a few more years it will become impossible to live in cities. Now How do you solve this problem?

The govt can issue identity card to people with their native and date of immigration. Let them leave the city after they retire. It may look complicated but that can be accepted keeping in mind that the city keeps growing everyday. Only in India the rules are not that effective. Now we got to tighten the noose on such things to make our place a better one to live.....

Cheers!!!!!

One more time

This post should have been here a week ago, but it comes here as the last for the year 09'.

I have the habit of watching cricket match on TV and also follow live commentry on cricinfo.com. One such incident happened yesterday during the cricket match between India and Sri Lanka. People struggle so much to earn money and fame which gives them the social esteem, yesterday I saw a man earning both and then giving to his fellow mate. It was really touching to see something happening like this in India(A media ruled country).

The match was stolen by Gauti(Gambhir) and Virat(Kohli)with their brilliant 224 run stand notching up centuries. It was a great performance from these two to earn a victory like this to seal the series. After the match during the post match presentation ceremony, Gautam Gambhir was judged as the Man of the Match, but he refused to recieve the award and recommended Kohli for it which included the cash award and trophy along with the fame given by the Indian media. It was a real difficult choice to judge the man of the match and due to the fact that Gambhir finished the match, he was selected for it.

This is not an incident which happens every now and then. This shows the affection and motivation for others present in the Indian dressing room which is difficult to achieve in such a vast country.

Hats off to Indian cricketers for exhibiting such things on Media. Expecting more from them in the future.................

BTW: Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Cheers!!!!!

Crazy People

Just 21 days left for the crazy people to prepare themselves. I really don't know what drives them so crazy on that day. We have 365 days in a year but people tend to celebrate only on the first. I see so many funny things with this New Year celebrations. People take resolutions on this day indicating that new year will bring good fortune, I don't know what fault they find in the remaining 364 days to take a resolution. I have seen some of my friends taking decision by the 9th or 10th month, but will wait till the new year to start implementing them. Calender is formed as a reference which can solve so many confusions around the globe. People mistook it as something else and celebrate the whole night. My other observation is that everyone wants to welcome the New Year and stay awake till midnight. They think it is something special, but no one is ready to do their routine on that special day and sleep till noon due to the overnight's tiredness.

If we rewind 25 years, most of the occasions would be missing as considered to the present. If people keep growing the list of festivals and celebrations in this pace, even 365 days wont be enough. I don't know who started these stuff, but nothing seems to be under control as the years pass by. I am afraid where it is going to take the world in the future.

I strongly believe that people who are uncertain of themselves are the ones who blame the planets and other such things. Every day is a new one and auspicious enough to achieve. So rather waiting for an occasion and the position of the planets to start our work, we can believe in ourself and start good work on any day.

I expect a decline in this years celebration as compared to last year. Don Know how things will pan out this time.....

Cheers!!!!!

Talent alone is not enough

Talent alone is not enough when the luck and support is not with you no matter what ever you do in life.

I love to talk about few people, to start with I see the life of Dr. Abdul Kalam. He is a very hard worker there is no doubt about it, importantly he got the correct guidance from his brother and mentors who motivated him to grow this big. Life of Sachin Tendulkar is an open book as far as Indians are concerned. His parents and importantly his brother Ajit were the reason behind his success, of course his hardwork made him the star for twenty years with a blessing of living in India(A media ruled country). Dr. Kalam and Sachin had the talent in them, they were ready to work hard and they also had the proper support to achieve high.

Now lets see what has happened with people like Rahul Gandhi, Kanimozhi and G.K. Vasan. Their grand parents and parents did the hard work of establishing themselves in the society and their kids claim the honours coming from nowhere just because they have the popular surname. Only god knows whether they have the potential to be what they are.

There is other extreme as well, people know who is Brian Charles Lara. No one suspects his talent or his willingness to work hard without which he would not have hard so many world records. Looking at his career nothing much happened to him. I don know how many of you know what it takes to score a century, its benchmark that determines an innings. Lara scored a double hundred and a hundred in a test and saw his team loosing the match. Can we call it a curse on his talent. His father was not alive when he played for the country, his mother was not alive to see his great achievemnts. No support from his team in most of the matches, his team could have been named as Brian Lara and 10 friends instead of West Indies. Vettori is following lara's steps in the region of unlucky people as of today.

Looking at the different kinds of people, what can we call life as?
Honey on a Thorn????

Franchise keeps me busy

Sometime back I was given an opportunity by my friend with a Franchise which keeps me busy. It has a great potential and gives a good opportunity to earn, apart from that, it moulds people and develops their personality as well. Yes I am talking about Amway India Enterprises in India and Amway global across the world. From my Higher Secondary level I love chemistry(but that cannot be seen in my marks). This company helps me to live an eco-friendly life which really attracted me. I have heard about this opportunity when I was studying in school, I thought its just another way to earn. Now when I got into it I realise the values it brings to the people. When I kept attending the seminars, I came to know that qualification is not necessary to achieve in life, but qualification will help us achieve it a little easily. Brave heart and strong thought is what required to succeed in life.

When I was studying in school, I know that Job is the only way to keep our life secured. Now in 2009, looking at the recession, I dont think job goers will have a happy hunting at the office. Surely my batch students will know the actual state of the companies at present. Due to this economic condition, most of my mates are struggling to kill time where I am a little busy for which I thank the almighty...
Hope things get normal in the near future.

Cheers!!!!!

2012 - A Benchmark

That was the first time I watched an English movie in a theatre. It is a movie worth watching in the theatre. It was the day before the children's day when my friend wanted me to accompany him for a movie called 2012, I somehow found time to go with him. Although the theatre was sick, the movie was outstanding. I was a little sick on the day, still went there to keep my word but the movie gave me every reason to clear my throat.

The center point of the story may be fictitious or true, but the way it is directed is a real benchmark for the future. I don know how on earth he was able to give such an awesome screenplay. The survival of the so called hero made every hair on my body to stand. As always every penny had its worth unlike most of the tamil movies.

Amir Khan and Kamal Haasan are trying their best to take Indian cinema to the next level. Looking at the speed of Hollywood, I am not sure how many decades will it take for the Indian cinema to reach the highest level. One thing is sure, whether the standard of the film is there or not, we always expect our movies to bag the Oscars. Only the film makers will know how that is possible.....

Cheers!!!!!

Surprised.................

It was a surprising incident which I have never seen before(may its my mistake for not being in that place before).

Last Sunday I went to the airport to give send off to my team leader, where I saw something very unusual. We were around 15 in number which was decent enough to block the road and as expected the police HC rushed in towards us and then happened the most unusual thing. I have never seen a police with so much patience, he was politely asking the people to keep off the road. I have seen the police use a different type of language at other places. How nicely he gets himself adjusted to avoid getting into trouble as most of the influential people can be found there. Does this mean that the non-influential people can be ill-treated by the Police? or the Police is afraid of the influential? or does the big B's have too much of hand in L&O?

Cheers!!!!!

My Dreams, Hope they come true in my life time

After a gruelling four months I am back. My batch is a different one as we are the only batch to finish our degree without a single industrial visit. We guys really wanted to have some fun and so we decided to go out for a day. We all sat and discussed about this in the Siding train(the place we will have loads of fun). We came to a conclusion that Queensland will be the appropriate place to go and to add ice to the cake we planned to go in bike. The highway was too good to ride the bike and I was very pleased to see all our guys turned up with their helmets. We started the ride by 8.30 in the morning and reached the place by 10. From then its only enjoyment till dusk.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wM8U7wioWso/Sd37N_y6wjI/AAAAAAAAAI4/Iec6NYzBsa4/s320/BILD2053.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322686552503665202" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wM8U7wioWso/Sd37NdBg2KI/AAAAAAAAAIw/LYMJ2PQQAMM/s320/Image077.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322686543169640610" />

More than the games we played there, the fun we had being together is priceless. We took so many photos as we could find so much of good locations there. We had a pretty good lunch there. An important thing to be mentioned is that, the rates inside the amusement park to our surprise is pretty ordinary. When we go to any theatre to watch a movie the rates are 5 to 6 times the original one, but here its pretty cheap. They maintain this place so well which has to be appreciated. I am waiting for another opportunity to go for an outing like this and I am pretty sure that we will have one in the month of may.

Cheers!!!!!

Heaven or Hell?

This post should have been posted a week ago on 14th of March when I visited the Central Jail, due to some work I was not able to post it then. Right lets get in to the topic. My project work got over early on 14th of March and so I decided to visit the jail, more importantly to take some snaps due to my friend's interest in photography.

The area used for the jail is huge which resulted in us returning home with sore legs. It was really constructed well and if any of the inmate wants to escape, then he should be ready to loose his life. The hanging arena was half demolished there. Every cell(A-Class, B-Class and C-Class) were similarly constructed. The dark room was mind rattling, I learnt that no one will be accomodated for more than 14 days in dark cell which will make them lunatic. Tamilan TV was covering the jail for a program and they were taking interview from the public.

It looked like a beach on a holiday, with so many shops inside to facilitate the public who flow in. The crowd there was a big one which is not a surprise. The timings for the public to view is from 8 in the morning till 4 in the evening.

We were lucky enough to meet a person who was an inmate sometime ago. He explained some of the activities which they used to perform there. There is a place where they are shown movie every week, place to work with wax(preparing seal), stitching clothes etc. There is a library for the inmates as well which is a good one and as expected there was a meditation centre as well.

What I felt was, the activities inside will be similar to what happens in a camp for the trainees of Police, Military, NCC etc. Apart from staying in darkness with mosqitoes, I don see any kind of difficulty there. It will surely make you workaholic if you are an inmate. On the whole I really loved watching it. The sad part is that it is going to be demolished soon. If you are in chennai then dont miss the opportunity of seeing this place, its worth watching.

Cheers!!!!!

I got it atlast

I just love sports and as most of the Indians I too like cricket. From then on I use to comment on various issues at the commentry, most of my friends also comment there as well but it has never been displayed. Last saturday to my surprise my comment was displayed for the first time. I was really happy that my comment was displayed. Hope it happens again and again. It happened for the first time when I was in my second year of my engineering when a blood donation camp was organised in my college. Initially I was very scared about it, but my friends gave me courage and made me mentally strong about this. Now I love to be a regular donar.

While I was moving towards my exam hall, I was called by my staff to be a part of the group which was getting ready to donate blood. I managed to get three guys from my class along with me. This time the camp held at a health centre which is about 10km from my college. It was the govt. hospital that was conducting the camp. The feel of donating blood can only be felt and no words can express it. We donate it in the camp and we feel such, how good will it be if we get a chance to donate it at the hospital for an emergency purpose(hope no such serious cases occur).

This is the only donation which we are able to do when we are consious. Other donations are done with a perspective that it cannot be used by us anymore, but blood is not of that type. I wish everyone have the awareness about donating blood and come forward to donate it regularly.

Cheers!!!!!

Below Par 2009 :(

Its almost two and a half months over in this year and nothing great has been happend so far other than the 2 oscars by A.R.R. When I see this phase of the year, it is not that satisfying.

To begin things, it was the burning of a Tamilian in chennai which led to a big chaos around the country. It lead to an unacceptable behaviour of certain politicians which led to the closimg of the colleges in Tamil Nadu. This created a big problem to all the students and professors with their completion of syllabus. It also reduced the functions(which is quite unfortunate for final year students) in the colleges due to the curtailed semester.

The worst of all was the Terror attack on the cricketers at Lahore. No one can digest this coward like behaviour from the terrorists. The best thing is that no one was seriously injured amongst the players inspite of few players had the shrapnel in their body. It has shattered many hearts across the globe. This has also provoked the cricketers to think twice about participating in the IPL.

The other one is the general body elections clashing with the IPL which puts the police officials under a pressure cooker situation after the two terror attacks in India and Pakistan in less than four months time.

Now the world is considering sub-continent as a unsafe place to visit, which is heartbreaking to many of the Indians. Once upon a time it was a heaven and today its one among the unsafe place(considered by the foreigners).

As a rose among thorns, to pull things back, our music maestro swept two awards standing on the red carpet at the oscars. This is the only breather of an incident in this year so far after so much of chaotic moments.

The bottom line for such a condition today is the terrorists behaviour. I don know which Anniyan is going to put an end to it. I expect some great things to happen in the remaining part of the year to make it a wonderful year for us.

Cheers!!!!!

Daunting Day

A special day for the Women is celebrated every year on the 8th of March. The same is celebrated two days earlier at my college premesis. The big work organising the function commenced last week. So many boys struggled hard to make things perfect. Since it is a function to honour women, we were unable to see girls taking responsibility. This time we were able to bring in an IAS officer Ms. Gariyali as our chief guest. More importantly, Boys took the responsibility of drawing rangoli. They struggled till midnight and finished it off. Hats off to them. Every boy in the organising team did their work very well. The function went really well and everyone in the college were happy on the outcome of the function.

In the midst of all these happenings, there happened the most disasterous thing. Every boy in the function was sent out stating it is the function for the women. It was so hard to accept as some of the boys worked till midnight when women refused to take responsibility. Its hard but still we have to take even that too. I don think anywhere on earth such thing will happen, stil its alright. To make things worse for the boys, some of the girls took all the credit for running the function. The most generous boys had a small smile in their face on seeing that. What else could they do? I was really happy that I was able to co-ordinate in every department of the work to run the function smoothly.

Also I found something very different when I went to judge the Rangoli competition. The theme given to them was women and I saw most of the participants to be so arrogant as they expressed that "without women world cannot run", "women are the winners", "women dominate the world" and so on. Never on earth a boy would say such statements to boost manhood. At the end I feel that I can lift the standards of men by wishing the women even after they put us down.

Happy Women's Day.

Cheers!!!!!

1 more to the tally

It has happened again. What else to do with these people who are scared to put an end to these culprits. Last time when I wrote about this topic some of my fellow bloggers opposed by saying that the civilians should be viewed seriously at the cost of letting the terrorists go. Today something happened to make them re-think everything.

What does these terrorists want. Will there be an end to it. Looking at the present politicians in the sub-continent, these activities will never end. Isnt there one aggressive politician. People who live in Pak and Lanka are crying everyday to live a peaceful life. How long can some one wait for things to get back on track.

Sports are meant to create international friendship. When the sports personalities are attacked, then there should be no excuse for these culprits. What is the problem between the terrorists and people like Sanga. Why on earth would some one attack the brand ambassodars who visit your country. If the leaders doesnt react even to this then there is no use of believing on them to lead us through.

By God's grace nothing happened to any of our cricketers. I pray for their welfare.

Cheers!!!!!

A Legend

It is hardly nineteen years before when this legend made his debut. Today he is the first Indian to bag two Oscars. Born to a music director, music was there in his blood from the beginning. He left his studies due to his family problems, that was the turn around in his life. He struggled alot, worked so hard, joined Ilayaraja's troop and got established. He worked on and on and today he reached the Oscar. He really deserves this award. What a cool head he has and how good of a person he is. The good nature and humble character is what got him to this feet.

By getting the oscar he made India proud and by speaking tamil there, he made Tamilians proud. Even now he is not showing any emotions. How many others could do that. This is the sign of a Legend. Lots to learn from him.

Slumdog Millionaire swept the Oscar awards with 8 awards.

A.R.R should walk on the moon with this award. bring something higher thatn this, Rahman will get even that with his cool head.

Cheers!!!!!

What a waste?

I don know wheather this post is worth in this world or not. Still I write in order to open some of the eyes which are shut. Every year at the month of June, the admission for the colleges begins with so much of chaos and cases regarding the entrance exam. After the students get in to the college and start learning, there is a very big competition between both the genders for everything. I don wanna discuss about the partiality shown by the staff defending one gender and their inability in certain fields.

At the end of the course, how many students work, making some sense to the education provided to them. Most of the students enjoy their own business which is welcomed by everyone. The other category is the most worst in the world, the girls who prefer marriage than working and the girls who quit their work after marriage. The other extreme is prefering a job which can never make use of their studies like how Dravid, Laxman, Srinath, Srikanth, Arya etc. did. What this makes is shuts down the opportunity for so many of the students who need that education . The X factor students compete, push up others, deny others chances and finally waste everything at the end. The other kind of students are who prefer higher studies and still get themselves a job by shutting down others opportunity and leave the job for the sake of their higher studies.

People start study just because education is available to them, is that a wise move to get the education and waste it at the end? They may see it as something they are capable of, but it is something which will be a backbone for so many families. Such people who afford to waste should think about these effects and act wisely.

Cheers!!!!!

What is going around?

I just wanna a share about the crisis going around in my state. All the politicians are so eager to help the tamil people in Lanka. The funny part which I see from it is, everyone wants to just talk for hours about this issue and none wanna go there and be a part of the people to save it. Indian politicians are trying to have publicity for thier parties. During Kargil War, stars like Kapil Dev went to the border and tried to help the military officers, but now every leader just wanna talk talk and talk.

I really don't understand this issue. Tamil people occupied higher posts in the Lankan government in the initial part and lifted the level of their country. Now the issue is the tamil people asking for a seperate country to be partitioned from the existing lanka. This is a well known fact. What I wanna put front is that, the muslims were seperated from India in the form of Pakistan. Today if Pakistani's claim the Kashmir to be theirs, whole of India rear to fight against them and they put in so much support and win the war. Same way if Tamil people in lanka ask for land, our people are supporting for it. What kind of s**t is this. Do our people have the capability to think?

Of course they claim that innocent people should be saved. I agree to that, but they also wanna help the man who is creating so much of chaos in that country. He justs thinks he is a veerappan and troubling the army. The most irritating thing is that our politicians blindly support both the rivals in the country in order to get popularity in India. What if they kill the tigers in lanka, will the Indian leaders die without food.

On the other hand, the lankan government tortures the tamil people in the name of checking, where ever they find a little resemblence with the tamil cultue. It cannot be stopped as their fear is understandable. They cannot afford to let even a single tiger inside the country. If the Indian government really wanna help the Lankan government to come out of this trouble, then they should help in demolishing the terrorists in lanka.

The worst of all is the burning of lifes in India for the sake of tigers. A reporter in chennai tried to frighten everyone and lost his life due to his lack of knowledge. What happened next, the body was taken round the city as if he is a freedom fighter. road blockages and public disturbance were created. Is this necessary? For someone else we are troubling our own selves. Another incident happended in south tamil nadu, where a criminal with more than 5 cases against his name met with an accident where the stove burst and the police officers recorded the incident and the criminal was admitted in the hospital. Now our politicians claim that the criminal burned himself for lanka which the criminal himself refused. After which, they started to provoke the college students which resulted in closure of colleges for 2 weeks.

To be simple, for the sake of Lankan tamils the Indian tamils are made to struggle everyday for their life. Nothing could be worse as this.

Expecting things to change quickly for the sake of our people.

Cheers!!!!!

Auction of IPL

The most expected auction for the IPL begined today at 10:45 am. At the end of auction Dhoni came down two steps after enjoying the most expensive player of the IPL last season. The first of the big names JP Duminey was bought by the Mumbai Indians for a sum of 950,000 dollars. The next one was the big man Andrew Flintoff who is the present expensive player alongside K Pietersen. Flintoff was bought by the Chennai Super Kings and the former English captain by Banglore Royal Challengers. As always the Rajasthan Royals used little money to get the developing player as they did last time. They ended up buying Shaun Tait. Out of all the players, Flintoff is the best pick as far as I am concerned as he is one of the greatest all rounders who can be depended in any situation. Still no idea about the world's top all rounder Shakib Al Hasan and upcoming bowler Mortaza.

Lets hope this Season also entertains the spectators as it did last year.

Cheers!!!!!

Truth and calmness triumps

Yesterday I was witnessing the day and night encounter between India and Srilanka. It was one of the greatest matches I have ever seen. It was a match where luck was against the indian team right through. To start with, sachin was judged out which was a wrong decision, then the blunder was to judge Yuvraj out which was the mistake of the match and tilted the match in the favour of the hosts. When the hosts batted, Jayasuriya and Kadamby was not given out even though it was plumb in front. A boundary was judged without even consulting the third umpire when there was a close call when Raina fielded.

The worst ever thing to happen to the Indians was when a fulltoss from zaheer hit the wicket but the bails didnt fall and moreover the ball went for 4 byes. Again when dhoni threw the ball on to the stumps to claim a runout, the bails again did its job for the hosts. What ever it is, Indians kept their cool and fought till the end and won the match in style.

Luck may play against us, Umpires may play against us, but the hard work and full hearted effort won the match for the Indians. I wish them to win the series and claim the Top spot in the ICC rankings.

Cheers!!!!!

Obama hits a first ball Six

American President Obama hits a first ball six as far as Indians are concerned.
After becoming the 44th and president and first Afro-American president, the first work done by him is to stop the provision of funds to the Pakistanis till they stop terrorism. Here I go with the different phase of my life.

From my kinder garden till 2007 all my holidays have been enjoyable. In the holidays the only thing I know will be enjoyment like playing cricket, tv, browsing, movies etc. and nothing else. Now being in the final semester of my college, I have just two days of college per week. Since I do the project in the college premisis, I should be literaly free on the remaining 5 days, instead I am busier than ever in these days. I really cant judge from where the work is coming up for me to make my day busy. May be this is a different phase of a life. I really feel quite strange to live this kind of life, still I enjoy it. The project is going on well after my zeroth review, so I have no probs in doing those work. I hope my project goes well so that I need not worry being busy with other work. By the way Happy Pongal and a great New year to all my tamil readers.

Cheers!!!!!

First Time in a home

Support from IM and IM members

To see more pics of the night's program just click HERE

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wM8U7wioWso/SWylsGTCpVI/AAAAAAAAAIk/VAtclN-FSRQ/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290785839276795218" />

Today is a day which I will remember for a long long time for the experience I had today. My friend took me to "Nalmanam" a Home where little children are taken care after being left out without anyone to take care off. This is the first time I am going to such a place. I really felt so happy being with the children and the kids were so happy to talk to us. I should take my hat off looking at the person who takes care of these children. He has done a real good job so far and I wish him to contine his good work in the days to come.

Initially my friend collected funds from IM and used it to provide some materials to them. We were surprised to see people contributing from round the world. A big thanks to all of them. I wish that I should get enough opportunities to go to such places as much as possible in the future.

Cheers!!!!!

Who cares about it?

Last one month has been a very tough time for me especially from the government. People say its very normal in India. I just cant take it anymore. First the difference in timings of 2 offices under chennai corporation annoyed me, then the cops working sincerely, only during the traffic week, chaos at the ration shop, finally the convoy and the security for the Chief Minister. But the last incident pushed me to the extreme to post on this topic.

I have already posted about the corporations offices and their work culture in this post.

The funniest thing happend in the city for the past one week is, the cops are very sincere at the traffic signals which is quite unusual to them. They were very strict on the stop line issue and the signal breaking. All this happened just as a formality to pay tribute to the traffic week. I just ask them will their crown fall down if they do it regularly.

This is heartbreaking, the chaos in the ration shop should be viwed seriously. The employes there don't know how to respect the public(let it even be senior citizens). Even the public was not co-operative as well. The atmosphere there was sick. I don know who is going to find a solution to this. I wish to highlight one point here, the government employees should consider them as human beings and not as god.

Finally the trouble while travelling on the road, due to security problems. I was travelling back home with my friend in my two-wheeler when my friend wanted to stop by an atm and get money for which I stopped, before my friend could come back, I was chased by the cops from the spot which made me wait for my friend at the end of the road which is a kilometer long. My friend walked all the way to find me at the road end. It is a very busy road so turning back and travelling on the opposite(which we do at emergency) is alomost impossible. What I want to know is that, VVVVVVIP's can go where ever they want and the traffic can be regulated(which should be stopped first). When they stop people from even stopping on the road side for their personnel work, it really irritates any common man. It even irritated me, but I could do very little about it in a place where politicians are seen as someone holy.

Tough time

Today I had the zeroth review of my Final semester project. We(our batch) took a lot of effort to get the data from our guide, formulated the presentation and we did present our topic well but what happened there was quite unexpected, the head was in no mood to understand may be his level of understanding is such (thats usual in Anna University). We tried our level best to clear the doubts and at one extent we really got frustrated with the stupid questions being posted at us.

I really don't know how the heck these people become professors when they have this little knowledge. We had our review for 20 minutes approx, and none of the questions were sensible. I really had an irritating passage of Q&A session as this is the first time I am in for such a process. May be I get used to it. Finally the hard work done by us was made a mockery. I am really confused how to prepare for the next review to tackle these men.

Cheers!!!!!

Its all crazy.....

As the new year was approaching everyone started to ask me whats special about this year, whats the resolution and so on. Is it a rule to have something like that for the new year. As far as I am concern a new year just stays as a reference for the whole world to maintain the records. Apart from that its just an ordinary day. I really don understand why people go to temple and wake god at 12 in the night and offer their praying and sleep the whole day. cant they pray in the morning. All in all, people make this day special and welcome this particular day when all the 365 days are born in a similar fashion. If they feel this is a very special day then they should work really hard rather sleeping the whole day and enjoying it as a holiday. Finally if resolutions are required to be made, what harm did the rest of the 364 days did. One thing I understood, if every one does some crapy things then it becomes a procedure. People must surely be crazy.

If I say all this they call me I am philosophical. There are so many fishermen who can row better than the rowers and swing the hammer as they use to throw the net which is lot heavier than the hammer. When I went there I just witnessed something great. The ground and the beach were full youngsters with bat and ball. They just don bother about anything but only about playing cricket. They are not professional, they dont have the proper skill to exhibit but they have the interest to play the game. These people should be viewed seriously by the board of cricket in India and they should be given some opportunity to play professional cricket if they possess talent.

Some one teach me please....

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wM8U7wioWso/SVIQU5u3saI/AAAAAAAAAHc/L42dH0qrFes/s320/2745574895_6266ec52a0.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283303264139850146" />
Is only one government rules Tamil Nadu? I went to the Zone 7 corporation office which happens to be the head office for issuing birth/death certificates. I went to the office at 13:15 to apply for the death certificate of my grandfather. I learnt from the health officer that I should approach to the Zone 5 office. When I went there I saw a display board saying that the applications will be recieved only between 10 and 13 hrs. I was really surprised to see that two branches of the same organization have different work time. How is that possible when there is a common head for both the branches? If the timings are as such, then why do they have differences when they have the same work to do? All the government concerns are about to work from 10 to 17 hrs but I cant see it happening. If they are going to work for only three hours then what is the point in giving them the full salary which a person gets for working 7 hours.

I am a citizen of this country but I am not able to understand what is going around me. I visited some of the temples in south Tamil Nadu sometime back when I got a chance to visit the velankanni temple. I went to the beach to relax myself a bit where I went to a shop to have some cuisine. There I saw this strange incident.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wM8U7wioWso/SVCvI_hEjiI/AAAAAAAAAHU/7a0Eg18at2A/s320/SSC_0292.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282914931929550370" />

The shop was on the beach sand with a roof. On one extreme of the shop there is the stove to cook the food and on the other extreme of the shop there was a man preparing the parathas with the batter. Whats interesting about these men is that, the person who prepares the batter just throws it to the other extreme where a man catches it and toasts it. It was quite strange and attractive too. If they drop it down then it is a waste surely, but they do it with pin point accuracy. This incident may be small one which stays in my memory but it teaches me that only practice can make a man perfect.

Additionally to know how to make parathas just click here

Cheers!!!!!

Everlasting Potential

"The time is over"
"The wall is weakened"
"Time to take rest"
"Time for the youngsters"

These were the quotes targeted the greatest ever batsman of India. There was one man who woke up with a thought that his team was controlling the match. People who heard this would have laughed at him but he did what he said.

Now the scene shifted to the third session on the days play where the organisers of the match feared supplying a replacement for the ball, where the opposition captain saw the match being pickpocketed from his pocket. No one in the ground could have done anything better than this 5 feet 11 inches Indian.

Yes I am talking about Virender Sehwag who stole the show by setting up a chance for the Indian victory. Appreciation wont be enough for that performance. Everyone know what happened in Sydney last december at the Sydney Cricket Ground. World cup winning captain was able to lie for a decision on a catch so as his team. Today one of the member of the Australian side was good enough to inform the umpire that the catch was not taken cleanly rather appealing with other of his team mates. It may be because that he filled Gilly's boots or it may be his nature. Any way its good to see some cricketers helping the umpire to make a decision and get things going smoothly. Also I don understand why the umpire didn't like when Gambhir told the umpire that he nicked the ball during an LBW appeal. Who ever does it, its for the welfare of the game and the umpires should encourage the players to finish the game on a higher spirit.

A big Welcome to Brad Haddin to the list of Characterised players such as, Gilchrist, Dravid, Sachin, Gillespie, Gavaskar, Yuvraj, Sangakarra etc.

Cheers!!!!!

Festival of Exam

Its going to be the month of October which marks the start of the grand festival of Examinations. Usually people go to the hill stations for the summer vacations missing the heat of chennai. I wish to say all these people who choose hill stations for their summer, " You can never get this heat anywere else, so try to enjoy the most of chennai heat during this summer atleast. It may dehydrate you and also cramp your muscles, but still this is a very rare ocassion which comes once in a year, so lets enjoy it to the fullest extent...

Cheers!!!!!

Heart Struck ! ! !

What is happening? I am so excited that I cant even wait for the match to get over.

Is it cricket or what, what a start to the Indian Premier League. Short and crisp opening ceremony.

Fine that was the start of the tournament, what about the match? Where did he come from?
What kind of an Innings is this? Did he see the cricket ball like a foot ball or what? Too many questions to be answered.

The bottom line is that Brendon has really shown his class here at the IPL. My first ever experience of watching a dozen sixes hit in a single innings. How many times can we see a batsman scoring 150+ in a T20. He was really polite in his interview after his innings as well.

Hats off to Brendon... Too many records in 75 minutes of batting... Too good

Waiting for the RC's reply........

Condemn the Criticizers

I am a kind of a person who enjoy watching all the games, so obviously I love watching cricket. At present India is playing against the Proteas after a short Australian tour. What I have been witnessing over the last year and a half is that people never hesitate to criticize our former Indian skipper Rahul Sarad Dravid. I really don understand why people come so hard at him. When Team India is in a comfortable winning position then there will surely be a buzz on Dravid's Strike rate. If it is the case where our team is in a position to kill the overs(bat out the time), we can see the experts along with banners in the crowd saying the wall should prevent us from defeat. Everyone knows that his style of batting is the same and he is a key player in the team in all the situations, remember he is the one who involved in a 326 run chase against the Carribeans under lights in a ODI.

How many cricketers has such a strong basics which this gentleman posses. If Indians take on the Aussies then we are sure of a drama on and off the field, can anyone point out such a situation which involved Dravid. Even the Little Master was accused of Match Fixing against Sri Lanka, but no one could get near this Engineer from Bangalore. Test Match is always played with a greater spirit and respect to the bowlers, but what is happening right now is that, people started to compare Test cricket with ODI and T20, but what people forget here is that the red leather swings for a longer period when compared with the white ball.

Everyone started to criticize this man and I was really shocked to see the statement which said "Did Dravid's Ton Hurt India", is it not shameful to talk like this. Modern cricket has the craze on people like, Sehwag, Yuvraj,Dhoni etc, but how many can put their money on these sort of players when it comes to reliability. I have seen so many matches where everyone will fail to score and Dravid alone will stand till the end as how Brian Lara used to do for the West Indies.

Finally I wanna say that, if you cant salute this great batsmen, better shut up rather putting him under scrutiny as he is the only star cricketer of India full of professionalism and without any controversy............

Cheers!!!!!

Unnoticed Gem

In this post I wanna share my views on the great Indian epic Mahabaratha. Once we hear the name of this great Indian epic, most of our mind thinks about the great skills of Arjun or the nice build structure of Bheem or even some may think about the wicked personality of the epic Sakuni and how can we forget his highness lord Krishna...

But I always get the thought about this Unnoticed Gem " Karna". Actually he is supposed to be the elder brother of the pancha pandavaas. He was born to Kunthidevi due to the grace of lord surya. Every one know Karna as the great king who never sends any of his guests with empty hands. I feel that Karna should consider himself very unlucky as he didn't have anyone to support him at the right starting from his birth till his death..

When he was born his mother refused him first up, then somehow he grew with the nice friendship of Dhuriyodhan. God really blessed him and gave him kavasa and kundala which had the ability to save his life. But his good heart stole those gifts. Finally when he was up against his brothers in the war field, he really had so much of faith in god which was put down by god himself. Finally when his soul left his body there was no one near him to send him off.....

Its really great to live without any support in life which I feel everyone of us should learn as much as possible.......

A question to the readers now. Can anyone say who is the only character who was present in both the Indian epics?????????????

Cheers!!!!!

Back at MAC

It is been almost three years since the last match been played here at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium-Chennai. Today I was one among the spectators who were present at the stadium to witness the final day's play of the first test match of the Future Cup for which India is battling against the proteas(South Africa). It is the third time I am watching an International cricket test match here at chennai(on the last two occassions it was India taking on Australia). This time the tickets were sponcered to me by my aunty.

Frankly speaking, it was really a dull day at the MAC were the Proteas managed 200 runs and the Indians were able to pick up only 4 wickets . The day was so dull that only half the stadium was filled and for most part of the day it was so quite. I really missed the mexican waves which I love the most. As I have enough knowledge about this stadium(atleast to the extent of narrating about it), I feel that the security level were not upto the mark and also the standard of the out-field was really poor. The looks of the stadium really went down with some of the colours of the advertisements. As usual the maintenance of the rest room were so poor and the rates of the food were too high.

Coming back to cricket, the aggressive nature of the youngsters were good and I really don understand why the Indian captain didnt take the field after lunch. The co-ordination and the high standards in the field is welcomed by the supporters with both hands.... Most
of the people misunderstand that, if they donate blood they will run short of blood which is
obviously not. Every human being contains around 51/2 to 6 litres of blood out of which only 350ml will be taken. Our body takes only 24 hours to regenerate the donated amount of blood.

The best part of the camp was, there were 4 blood banks present to collect the blood and around423donors took part in the camp. The doctors and the nurses present there were very
kind and taught us a lot about the importance of donating blood and also how to take care of ourself before and after donating.

This camp was scheduled suddenly and hence many of the students were unaware of it, but still so many turned up. This really shows that the future India is really shining. Among the people who turned up Guru and Venkat were noticable. Every 90 days we are allowed to donate blood which will be helpful to someone at the right time. So all we have to do is to have heart to
help others and execute it properly....

Cheers!!!!!

A Twist

This is really a twist in the recent past when it comes to television. You may ask me what is twist when channels continously offer serials? also there is no dance or family sentiments in the movie. Yes I am talking about "Chak de India" and "Taare Zameen Par".

The directors are really gutsy to take films like these. Its really nice to see movies with some different and strong stories. It doesn't have those bamboozling entries, but they really have those strong impression for their stories.

This change in the bollywood industry is really a revolution and I hope the film makers will surely follow it and give us some more good movies.......... I still didnt see Jodha Akbar so I am not able to comment on it, will see it and post again on that movie...........

Cheers!!!!!

Will they change....?

After some posts, I am back with my business.

Stupidity is really at its best in my hometown. You may surely ask me this question, What is new about this city as it always has something with it to talk about. The reason for posting this topic is that, the condition is changing from
bad to worse......

Ok ok, I will tell you what is the issue, the tremendous performance of our
men in Kakhi especially when the (so called) VIP's travel somewhere. I really
don know with what kind of urgency they travel, but being the citizen of this country we have to wait till these people pass by. Is this a punishment for us
for electing them? I really don't understand the concept of leading the people without living the life of a normal citizen. How will they know about the
difficulties faced by the commuters and the motorists everyday by travelling in
an airconditioned car with regulated traffic. My mom use to say that
M.G.R(then chief minister) use to wait for the signal even when he was the CM of TN. Why don't the present day VIP's follow it.

Where ever we go, we can hear special entry, special quota, special ticket,
special food. Whatmade them so special, their education or their open service to
people? They use to sit in airconditioned room and eat high quality food and
they will talk about the poverty and unemploynment. Can anyone show wards of
VIP's searching for jobs. Our then president ("The greatest scientist of our country") stayed alone in his house and he also locked all the kitchens except one(where the food is cooked for him and all the employees there). He showed that much equality even when he was the first citizen of our country. He came out of the president's house with a single suitcase... Isn't he great. Why cant others follow him. I really don't know why people feel so difficult to live a
normal citizen's life when they come to a post. Does the post give them two
horns or what? But one thing is sure, we can talk many topics relating to it or
even movies can be directed as Director Shankar always do, but nothing could
be changed as we wish. We should take it as our fate to see all this and respect
these people who really don deserve what they get............

Cheers!!!!!

Duckworth-Lewis and its uncertainity

Duckworth-Lewis this is the most confusing concept in the game of cricket.

This is the factor which decides the result of an One Day International match, if the match is interrupted due to any external factors like rain or badlight, at times even the mis behaviour of the crowd. The other important factor is that this method will be adapted only after the completion of 25 overs in the second innings. It decides the outcome of the match if it is continued without the interruption considering the current position of the teams.

How this method works..? None of the commentators nor the players are aware of it. It will be displayed in the scoreboard which only the computer system know's.

The fact is that, this method is based on a graph where the current scenario is plotted and the
outcome of the match will be decided. But it is uncertain to say that number 11 batsmen cannot
score runs or the bowlers will be well disciplined.

I feel that rathar having these methods to give result to a match, we can have a reserve day or two for every international match so that the results will be obtained on the field rathar on computer systems................

Cheers!!!!!

Will I get it back.....?

Will I get it back...? is the caption of this post. But what do I want back now?

I am just rewinding my memory to see what happened some ten years ago. I was studying in my school and I use to get summer vacation for a good two months. I use to enjoy my vacation with my friends and health will sound really good.

Now things are totally different, 8 hours of college, 4 hours of travel, internal test every month, symposium, projects, seminars, etc.... Is this life or what? To be frank, I hardly look at the mirror nowadays. What am I struggling like this for... a degree? What will I fetch with that.... a job? ok fine assume that I completed my degree and also got myself placed in a well reputed company, Will my health support me to work then after all my blood being sucked during my college life....

Semester vacation is for about 10-15 days where we have IPT, mini projects etc., When will we relax and think about our future. If things are like this now, how will it be after 15 years...... Woof cant even imagine it. If god asks me for a wish, surely I will ask him to wish me to have sound sleep for a minimum of 5 days so that all my lost stamina will be regained.... But coming back to reality, I wil have to go to college tomorrow morning as usual with an empty stomach to make my health even worser.................

I hope now one would understand what I want to get back......

Cheers!!!!!

Implant training at Railways!!!

I got an opportunity during the 5th semester vacation to visit the EMU workshop @ Avadi which is under the control of Southern Railways. It was really a tough job to get the permission for this programme. Once when I entered the workshop I realised that hurdles crossed were of no waste. It was a well organised training school/workshed where the workers were sincere unlike the other government offices. I really felt the importance of Industrial visit which was denied by my dept staff members.

Some of the topics which I learnt there was......

The operation of Traction motor and its importance in EMU.

The testing and working of the compressor.

The assembling of the compartments.

The drivers cabin and the equipments which he use to control the train.

It was a pleasant experience for me to learn the concepts from a set of good hearted workers.
I really thank The Railways for giving me an opportunity to undergo Implant training which really helped me to know the depth of electrical dept...

Cheers!!!!!

St. Joseph's Rocks!!!

TMS is the best!, I am not talking about the alltime great singer but about the best teacher I have ever seen. His name is Mr. Thayumanavasamy. He handled Chemistry for me for the last four years of my school life. He stands apart from other teachers as he is the only teacher who taught us about life along with chemistry. The best part of him is that, one can ask any question in his subject, surely you will be answered.

The other noticeable fact about this great man is that, if he knows anything completely then only he will speak about it. We the students of Doveton Corrie are really gifted that we had TMS to mould us when we were in our teenage. If he was not there with me for those four years, then surely I wont be the way I am.
The qualities of punctuality, honesty, abiding the rules were not taught to us by him but injected into us............

Important fact about him is that, he is from St. Joseph's College, Tiruchy. I really want to visit that college which produce gems like this. Its not only TMS, my biology teacher is also from the same college and lastly my maths lecturer in college is also from this college. These people always stand apart from others and you can feel the difference in them. ECE students and CSE students in my college will also know about this. I heard that, the process in that college is very systematic and thats why the students shine really well. I expect even my college(atleast in future) to produce gems like that...

It started with TMS and went on till my maths lecturer, I hope
that I will come across many more students of this great college.

St. Joseph's always rocks!!!

Cheers!!!!!

Youngsters lift the spirit

Yes I am going to write about the Indian Cricket team. It is really a hard to accept that DADA and Mr. Dependable are out of the ODI side. But there are certain things for the cricket fans to cheer about. Since the crowed knocking the doors for the national side is increasing, the security for the place in the team is a big question mark. This makes every player to perform well and see to that their place is secure.

The other important factor to be noted is that the counter attacking ability of these youngsters which was (sorry) really absent with some of the seniors. The other fascinating factor about our team is that the fielding standards is too good. It really lifts the morale of the bowler and puts a doubt in the opposition's batsman.

The way Dhoni and Yuvi answer Rameez Raja, Sreesanth showing aggression against the batsmen and the silent killing nature of Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir and Ishant sharma, and to keep things under control and guide the team in a spirited way we have the little master. But why is that only cricketers enjoy all the facilities. Football is the most watched game in the world, now my question is that how many football stadiums of international standards are there in our country. I feel that the government and the people lift the game of cricket and stamp all the other games. You can surely see a full house cricket stadium in India. How many of us have seen a full house for an Athletic meet or a hockey match.

Why is that no other game has so much of sponcership and live telecast in TV. We are so much bothered about the telecast of the cricket match in Australia, but how many of us are bothered about the olympic qualifiers of the hockey match. We people know who is the highest run getter for India, how many of us know who is the fastest man of India(100 mtr National Record Holder).

If we youngsters don take action against this, then it will be situation where the substitute players who will also act as audience.

Cheers!!!!

Percentage Needs to be Re-calculated

Percentage Needs to be Re-calculated... Why do I say this..? I have my reasons below.

In olden days, men use to enjoy all the facilities. Women were the sufferers in the hands of men as per the society's law. The government understood this stupid behaviour and started giving women equal rights. The effect of this law started kicking men to search a place for survival. What the government thought is that, minimum of 33% should be given to women in all the departments. But what they missed out is that they did not mention anything such for the men, which seems to be essential for the survival of men.

People say that men can survive anywhere at anytime as he is meant to face problems. If it is said like that then why these people say that women are given equal importance. If men are given any sort of importance then we can compare and say whether equal improtance to women is given or not, but when no importance is given to men and everything is given to women, how will it be equal.

If you don't agree with what i say, let me give you some examples.

1) Let us take the mode of transport first, there is separate seat for women where no men can sit, but there is no such place for men.

2) Let us consider the colleges, I don want to say anything about it and i really welcome comments with examples for those who think against me(especially in college). If the ratio between men and women are about 100:1 still the resource is equally shared, I really don know how is it possible.

3) Last but not least, even in the News headlines, if there is any bomb blast or accident, they will announce the number of deaths with the number of women in it. I want ask them why are they not saying about the number of men who die. Is any way men is inferior to women or does it mean that the life of a man is not valuable when compared to women.

My dear male folks, please see that we are not pushed to a situation where we will be asked to fight for survival against these women. I do take apology to all the women who feel bad after reading this post.

I am no way against giving equal importance to women, but what i mean is that even men should be viewed. My main issue is to removal of women quota as all the human beings are equal for any kind of obligation..

Cheers!!!

Unnoticed People In Real Time

I am sure many of you wont agree with what i say just because we all have suffered in their hands someway or the other. Yes i am going to talk about the Cops because i personaly feel that these are Unnoticed People In Real Time. When we hear the name Police, the first thing which comes to our mind is corruption. Yes it is 100% true that these people are culprits, but for that we cant mistake the whole department. Ok fine, now why am i writing about this? What is the use of sharing this view...?

We people just travel along the roads where we never notice these men
who use to stand in the hot sun and heavy rain performing their duty. Have we ever thought about the state of these people and do anyone of us dare to comfort them by atleast offering them some fluid to quench their thirst? Yes i admit that most of the people never do their work sincerely, but there are some exceptions. I use to admire at a police men who stands near the Kilpauk Medical College signal. He is always perfect with his uniform and the work which he does.
For me he is the only person from this department(among the lower ranked men) who wears a neatly pressed uniform and proper actions to control the traffic.

Once when i was travelling near that signal along with my friend got an opportunity to speak with him. We asked him the reason for such a sincere work, he smiled and removed his coolers and then started to speak, he said that he wants to be true to his profession. He also added that he believes that his perfection in actions(used to control the traffic) attracts the motorists. Hence it relieves the mental pressure from our minds which will surely avoid many accidents. We asked him, " What is the use of doing it..?" He simply replied that he is given salary every month only to perform this with perfection. On saying this he moved away from us as he was about to take charge from the other man performing the duties..

There are so many people who do mistakes, but there are certain people who still believes that truth and honesty alone triumphs.... All of us use to admire and encourage the people who performs the role of a Police in movies,
but we don't do it in real life. My request is that we people only should encourage these Mr. Perfects and improve the standard of the department, as we know that the government becomes blind when it comes to encouraging......

Cheers!!!!!

Future seems to be dark!!

In our country the majority of the people belong to the students community. There is a famous quote stating that, todays children will be tomorrows citizen. But what is happening to the students, is there anyone to bother about them. Thats why i say that the Future seems to be dark. People wish that India should become a developed nation. We all know that it lies only on the hands of the students to lift our standards or to put it down. But the society expects a lot from the youngsters and don give them what is necessary to them.

In my point of view, the most difficult of all times for a student is to attend a class on saturday when all the folks around their house enjoy the weekend. Most of the Engineering colleges and the schools work for 8 hours a day and five days a week. The student who attends all the classes without fail will surely be on his knees by friday, at this juncture if you ask him to work for one more day, it makes no sense at all. Yes i agree that hard work should be put up by the students but continous work without rest
makes them good for nothing.

There is a famous saying which states"Something is better than nothing", by following this the management makes people work on saturday thinking that they will do nothing at home. But what i mean to say is that"Nothing is better than Non-Sense". The student could stay at home rather being physically present in the class due to compulsion. Will it do any good to him or his health..? The managements can think about the mindset of students and act accordingly..

Another difficult situation is the holidays with the assignment. I really don understand the concept of giving assignment during holidays and that too during festivals. How these staff memebers expect the students to be with their books when they themselves want to enjoy thier holidays, after all everyone is a human being. Very easily they will say that we had holidays. Does it mean that every student should sacrifice all what he has in order to learn.

The most pathetic issue is the working saturday as a compensation for a holiday. Fine they are doing this in order to maintain the number of working days. But how is that possible for them to have a compensation for Independence day, don they feel ashamed to do that. Is this the tribute which we show to our motherland...

Engineering students are supposed to be professionals, do they get treated as a professional...?
They are been treated as worse as a donkey which carries load for its master. They are trying to force certain inhuman activities in the name of discipline.

But if this state continues then the students of future will surely become lunatic before they get their degree........

I wish that govt. should take steps in saving the students from the hands of institutions in order to save the country's future.

Fading Glory......

Sachin, Sourav, Rahul, Gilly, Jayasuriya......
" Current Cricket Players"

Beckham, Gerrard, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho......
" Current Football Players"

Schumacher, Raikonnen, Alonso......
" Formula 1 Drivers"

GaganAjit, Baljeet, Mamtha, Ignace... ?

Who are they........? Believe me they are current international Hockey players. The fact is that they are Indian players. How many of us know them, We know all other sportspersons than the players who play our national game. We should be ashamed for not knowing them.

We are the team which was undefeated for over a decade and won three consecutive olympic gold medals under the capatincy of Dhyan Chand. The whole world was stunned by the performance of the Indians under Dhyan Chand. They have done a test to the stick which he used to see whether he used a magnet to get the control of the ball. That great skills he possesed.
The sad fact is that many people don't even know who is this player as they are unaware of the game which is supposed to be our national game..

Last week i got an opportunity to witness the Test Match Series between India and Belgium at Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Egmore. Actually I was longing to go there and see my countrymen in action, but was waiting eagerly to get an opportunity which came last week.
My friend Ramanan who was previously informed by Guru, told me about the matches and the location and importantly the admission is
free (to improve crowd participation). The matches were really good which was played on a green synthetic turf.

The first thing which I noticed there was the empty stands which really frustrated me. Its our national game and no response from the audience. For a cricket match people stand in long queue
to get the ticket booked well in
advance, but our national game is thrown away. The most pathetic incident is that people refused to come even when my friends and myself called them to witness the match.

The other pont to be noticed is that these players don't have enough protection on the field. There was a casuality during the first half of the first match where the player was carried in a stretcher with a bleeding nose which we wont see too often in any other outdoor games.

Fine, they play for India and they risk their lives, but what they are paid is a meagre amount when compared with what the other sportsmen are paid. It is only because we don have much interest in this game, the revenue generated is very low and so the players are paid less. I don say that we should not see other games but try to support hockey so that our national game doesn't perish in future.

Ramanan and I have decided to witness all the the sporting action in which our country men participate and few of our other friends also promised to do it. Lets support our country in all the the games which they play and cheer them to victory............

Cheers!!!!!!!!!

Oh Boy Is He Great..............?

Cricket as we know is a Gentlemen's game, but we seldom see cricketers who behave like that. One such instant is the Sydney Test. But there was a man who created doubts in the minds of many people and he made them think of an imaginary situation to see whether he might commit a mistake. This great personality is
none other than the man who created a new dimension to the art of Wicket Keeping
"ADAM GILCHRIST". It is impossible to fill his boots after this tri-series...
His announcement of retirement was a great shock to the cricketing world, but this shows the standards which he sets for himself. One drop chance makes him to think about retirement. I feel that, not
only cricketers but every human being should learn a lot from him......

When he made his debut for Australia people thought that he wont be able to perform like Ian Healy, But he proved all wrong with his performance behind and also in front of the stumps..
He created a new dimension(Wicket Keeper/Batsman) in cricket. He always keeps the morale of the team high. The way he moves between overs gives enough time to the bowlers to think about the plan between delivaries. You cannot see a better player in appreciating the opponents on their performances, Gilly really stands tall with this quality...

Walker...

He had a great of quality of walking if he believes that he was undone by the bowlers. This made the job of the umpires very easy. But now with the departure of Gilly and the beginning of the modern cricketers lying nature to win matches may lead to a position where the spirit of the game will be lost...

Now it is time for us to wait for a player who can fill the boots of Gilly behind stumps and the one in his honesty. For me the greatest records which he set was, the keeper with the maximum number of dismissals in test and ODI and also he is the only man in the history of game to have 100 test sixes.........

For me, he should have played for some more years only for two reasons. One is that he is the best entertainer globally, we indians have a craze on Sachin, but that is not the case around the world for him, but Gilly is liked by all kinds of people in any corner of the world for his well mannered behavior and debastating batting. Secondly his pink gloves, every victim of his will make the breast cancer research insitiute richer by 144,000$, if he had played for some more years, surely he would have made the institue more richer as it is his nature to get scalps...

But now its time for us to do honours for this great keeper who served Australian cricket and provided everyone of us the greatest entertainment of our time... Now looking forward to him in action in IPL.. Gilly! You always rock...............

Cheers!!!!!!
